Our Story

Daniel Henry is a versatile and talented performer with a rich and soothing tone. He delivers a soft yet powerful performance in the stylings of Sinatra, Martin, Cole, Buble and many others.

A Churchville Chili native, Daniel Henry began singing as a sophomore in high school. Toward the end of his freshman year, a fellow classmate heard him singing under his breath in class, and made an observation that Daniel could sing. He suggested that Daniel audition for chorus, and so it began.

Daniel was an active member of Concert Choir for three years and a member of the Singing Saints for two years at Churchville Chili High School under the direction of Rob Goodling.

At the end of Daniel's junior year he was one of ten tenors chosen statewide and participated in a four week intensive music program at the New York State Summer School of the Arts at the School of Choral Studies at SUNY Fredonia. In his senior year, Daniel participated and was given the honor of attending the NYSSMA Conference all State.

Daniel has entertained thousands of passengers throughout the years as a cast member of the Legend’s show onboard Carnival Cruise ships. Portraying of course, his favorite crooner, Frank Sinatra.

Wikipedia defines The Great American Songbook also known as "American Standards", “as the canon of the most important and influential American popular songs and jazz standards from the early 20th century.  The Songbook comprises standards by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, and many others”.

You will be taken back in time to the most popular songs from the 1920’s to the 1970’s, all captured by the timeless sound of Daniel Henry. His interaction with his audience makes his performance an experience for all in attendance. He enjoys sharing a bit of history of each and every song and always encourages everyone to sing along. “All it takes is one song to bring back a thousand memories” Daniel’s audiences do have thousands of memories. They openly share their smiles and their tears with him in a very personal fashion. Daniel is very humbled to share these moments with them and creates a human connection that remains long after the performance is finished.

In October 2014, Daniel decided to pursue a professional singing career.  A Greece resident, married for thirty one years and two grown children, he and his wife decided the time had come for Daniel to share his vocal abilities. DHL Entertainment was born. With a parent residing in a senior facility and the style of music that Daniel so passionately enjoys, the audience was obvious.  Daniel currently performs throughout our Senior Community including Independent Senior Centers, Assisted Living Facilities and Skilled Nursing Facilities throughout Monroe County.  He has been very well received and enjoys continuous return engagements.  Daniel also had the opportunity to perform last year at Java’s Café in The Rochester Fringe Fest. He hopes to return in the Fall.

At the suggestion of his senior audiences throughout, he has just released his first CD and it is available. Please contact his Facebook page, DHL Entertainment or via email at dhlentertainment1@gmail.com.

Daniel is also a member of "The Second Time Around Players". A Not for Profit organization whose performances benefit local charities within Monroe County.  Recently they performed a Cabaret show at the Dugan Center raising almost $8,000 for “Moonshadow’s Spirit” an organization that benefits those with eating disorders.

Daniel always has a song and a smile to share. Will you let him share it with you?
